CE-200 (New York)
New York's purpose-specific certificate used to attest to a government entity that an applicant is not required to carry specified workers' compensation-related coverage.
The CE-200 is New York's Certificate of Attestation of Exemption. It is used in connection with a government license, permit, or contract when the applicant is not required to carry workers' compensation and/or specified disability and Paid Family Leave coverage.
It is not a general-purpose certificate for showing another private business or that business's insurer that coverage is unnecessary. The Workers' Compensation Board states that a CE-200 is valid only for the specific government license, permit, or contract, and building-permit certificates are job-specific.
